Nerf has been around seemingly forever, but they are always coming up with exciting new stuff. This Nerf gun for summer of 2016 is already going down a storm with Nerf Gun owners. The Nerf Modulus Tri-strike is three-in-one Blaster that offers a giant variety of customization. Nerf began this range about a year ago with the ECS-10 blaster but this is in a whole other league.
This Nerf gun is going for about $50 retail.
Hasbro, who make the Nerf products, say this toy is for age 8 years and up. This is a large size blaster so we’d say that eight years and older makes sense. Nerf gun fans of all ages will like this gun.

What Consumers Are Saying
The children were very excited to play with it. The Blaster works well.
I love to make this blaster into a sniper since it is bolt action and small so you can add on other attachments to make it look like an awesome sniper.
At just under 50 U.S. Dollars at the time of the release, I felt that this blaster set had better produce some good results, and from just using the main blaster, I think it did.
Thumbs Up Points
Because of the variety of three different ammo options this really is a versatile blaster; you get 10 Elite Darts, 4 Mega Darts and a 2 part Missile Dart.
What you get in the basic set up is the Elite dart blaster that you use in conjunction with its own clip to fire darts in a single or rapid fire action. The Mega darts come with a barrel extension for added fire power and we do love that whistling sound the mega darts make as they fly through the air. Last up is the missile firing set up which again uses its own missile blasting stock.
You can customize the blaster with existing Nerf guns that you already own and there are various upgrades and add-ons to buy as well. The manufacturer claims that you are able to make a thousand different combinations and who are we to argue!
Some of the accessories are really nice for instance we like the Red dot sight you can buy for just a few bucks, which just adds to the cool factor of your Nerf Modulus Tri-Strike.
Thumbs down points
A hefty toy, this product could be a bit heavy for Younger kids; One Reviewer on Amazon mentioned that his younger brother had trouble carrying it because it was too heavy.
While we only read one online review where there was a complaint of occasional jamming this might be an issue for some.
Value in a Nutshell
There is no getting around the fact that $50 is a steep price tag for a toy, we believe it is a fair amount for this Nerf gun. We factored in their track record for durable blasters, the amount of features and the customization available on the Tri-Strike. If they are new to Nerf it might be best to introduce them with a smaller and more inexpensive gun before paying out as much as this.
Nerf have come up with yet another winner here and anyone who has the money will snap this blaster up and have some great fun with it. With its three-in-one option and the amount of customization that is possible, you aren’t going to bored with this toy shooter anytime soon.
